Donald Paul Byrd, an older gentleman, comes early every morning to Gateway to Hope Resource Room and helps the volunteers set up for the day. He returns around noon with snacks for the volunteers and then comes back at the close of day to help clean up, take out the trash and walks the dog. He reminds us that he is a professional janitor and always has a smile on his face. He reminds us that he can be a volunteer while looking for permanent employment. Never seems to get discouraged.
